Mozart in the South is produced by Chamber Music Charleston, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of classical music through chamber music performances and educational programs of high artistic quality performed by musicians of the Lowcountry.
Opening Concert Thursday, Sept. 9 St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Mozart Oboe Quartet Debussy Dances Sacree & Profane Mendelssohn Octet
Festival Orchestra Concert Friday, Sept. 10 Cathedral of St. Luke & St. Paul Mozart Overture to Marriage of Figaro Mozart Concerto for Flute & Harp Beethoven Symphony No. 4
Little Mozart Circus Saturday, Sept. 11 Marion Square A free outdoor family event showcasing music educational opportunities in Charleston
Finale Concert Sunday, Sept. 12 Middleton Place Mozart in the South ends in grand style with a spectacular wind ensemble concert at Middleton Place. Tables with linens and comfortable chairs will be provided as premium seating in addition to general lawn seating. Guests will be encouraged to bring their own picnics and explore the grounds before the concert begins at 7pm.
